ENGAGEMENT & COMMITMENT TO THE HUB

We expect our members to actively contribute, participate, and engage. The value you gain from the Hub is directly linked to the time, openness, and commitment you invest. Before starting your application, we strongly encourage you to internally clarify the following questions and then state your answers below:

The contact person should have sufficient seniority (ideally C-level), as they will receive introductions to corporate partners and key stakeholders. They must be able to confidently present your product and assess the strategic relevance of potential partnerships. Junior-level profiles are not recommended for this role.

“Hub activities” include active participation in events and community formats, timely responses to communication, staying informed via our newsletter and HubClub app, and proactively engaging with other Hub members.

While we offer digital services, our ecosystem is relationship-driven. Personal interaction and on-site presence have proven to be a key success factor for creating meaningful connections and business opportunities within the Hub.

We treat all shared materials confidentially. Your pitch deck enables us to create high-quality introductions. It will only be shared with selected Hub corporate partners where relevant — and never with other startups or external third parties without your explicit approval.

Core company metrics (e.g. ARR, number of employees, public funding raised, etc.) are required for aggregated reporting purposes to the City of Hamburg and the Digital Hub Initiative. These metrics are collected once per year and are not publicly disclosed on an individual company level.

Co-Working Requirements

Each startup membership includes one flex desk once per week and 8 hours of meeting room usage per month by default.

Additional workspace options (24/7 fixed desks or private offices) can be requested separately and are subject to availability.

Please note: Active participation and industry collaboration remain the core of our community. Startups that use the Hub solely as a co-working space without meaningful engagement in the ecosystem may lose their membership.
